The backstory.
I'll be honest-this slow cooker turkey recipe started as a "let's clean out the pantry" experiment. I had leftover stuffing mix from Thanksgiving and a turkey breast in the freezer that needed a purpose. One lazy Sunday, I tossed them in the crock pot, crossed my fingers, and came back hours later to the best-smelling kitchen ever. One bite and I knew this one was going to be a forever favorite.
It's a must make.

Turkey breast and stuffing crockpot ingredients
Here are the ingredients you'll need to make this easy turkey and stuffing crockpot recipe:
- Stuffing mix: Use your favorite brand of chicken, herb, or turkey stuffing mix-this gives you the base for that rich, savory flavor.
- Butter: Adds richness and helps keep the turkey moist as it slow cooks.
- Chicken broth or water: Hot broth gives the stuffing the perfect soft texture; use low-sodium chicken stock if you like more control over saltiness.
- Onion and celery: Classic aromatics that bring depth and that familiar holiday flavor.
- Dried cranberries: A touch of sweetness that balances the savory stuffing perfectly.
- Boneless turkey breast: Tender and juicy when slow-cooked; choose about 3 pounds for the best fit in your 5 to 6-quart slow cooker.
- Seasonings: Poultry seasoning, kosher salt, and black pepper round everything out.

How to serve it.

Here's how to enjoy this crockpot turkey and stuffing:
- Slice the turkey breast and serve it over the fluffy, buttery stuffing.
- Drizzle with gravy or add a spoonful of cranberry sauce for that full Thanksgiving dinner flavor.
- Pair with mashed potatoes, green beans, or slow cooker mac and cheese for the ultimate comfort meal.
Kori's tips.
- Always use a meat thermometer-slow cooker turkey should reach 165°F for food safety. For the juiciest turkey, remove it at 160°F and cover it with foil; it will continue to rise in temperature as it rests.
- Fluff the stuffing before serving so it stays light and tender.
- If the stuffing is too dry add a little extra broth.

📖 The recipe.

Turkey and Stuffing Crockpot Recipe (with Gravy)
Equipment
- 5 to 6-quart slow cooker
Ingredients
- 2 (6-ounce) packages chicken, herb, or turkey stuffing mix
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 5 tablespoons butter, divided (melted)
- ⅔ cups frozen chopped onion
- ⅔ cup chopped celery
- ⅓ cup dried cranberries
- 3 pound boneless turkey breast
- ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt (plus extra to taste)
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper (plus extra to taste)
Instructions
- In the bottom of a greased slow coooker, spread the stuffing mix the stir in broth, 3 tablespoons of the butter, onion, celery, and dried cranberries until mixed well.

- Using paper towels, pat the turkey breast dry. Rub 2 tablespoons of melted butter over the entire turkey, then sprinkle with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.

- Place the turkey over the stuffing mixture. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours, or until the turkey is done (the USDA recommends 165℉). Remove the turkey and cover with foil. (Note: I cook my turkey until it reaches 160℉, then I remove it and cover it with foil. The temperature will continue to rise to 165℉ and will be juicier.)

- Remove the turking and let stand covered with foil for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing. Stir the stuffing and fluff with a fork.
