The backstory.
Every family seems to have that one dessert that disappears quick. Around here, peach cobbler has always been one of them. I started making this slow cooker version on hot summer days when I didn't want to turn on the oven, and now it's the one everyone asks for. It's almost hard to believe that something this cozy and homemade starts with canned peaches and a box of cake mix.
It's a must make.
If you're looking for an easy dessert that always gets people coming back for seconds, crock pot peach cobbler is one to keep on repeat.
- Only 3 ingredients. Everything you need is easy to find and budget-friendly.
- It's true dump and go. Layer everything in the slow cooker, pop on the lid, and let it do the work.
- Warm, cozy flavor. Sweet peaches and spice cake mix create a comforting dessert that's perfect for summer or anytime you're craving something nostalgic.
- Easy to customize. Add your favorite spices, nuts, or toppings to make it your own without adding much extra work.
Let's talk flavor and texture.
Every bite is loaded with juicy, tender peaches tucked beneath a buttery, golden topping with warm cinnamon and spice flavors from the spice cake mix. The fruit stays soft and syrupy while the cake develops a tender crumb with lightly crisp edges. Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream and you get that perfect mix of warm dessert and creamy, melty goodness.
What you'll need.

Making easy crock pot peach cobbler with cake mix couldn't be much simpler - just three simple ingredients come together for a dessert everyone loves.
- Canned peaches: Three cans of sliced peaches packed in 100% juice create the sweet, juicy base. Drain one can so the cobbler doesn't become too runny.
- Spice cake mix: A box of dry spice cake mix adds cozy cinnamon flavor and creates the tender cake topping.
- Butter: Butter melts into the cake mix as it cooks, creating rich flavor and helping the topping bake beautifully.

Make it your way.
One of my favorite things about cake mix peach cobbler with canned peaches is that you can easily make it your own.
- Add a teaspoon of cinnamon for even more warm spice flavor.
- Stir a splash of vanilla extract into the peaches before layering.
- Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the cake mix for extra crunch.
- Swap the spice cake mix for yellow cake mix if that's what you have on hand.
- Mix in a handful of fresh blueberries or raspberries with the peaches for a fun summer twist.
- Sprinkle a little coarse sugar over the top before serving for extra sparkle and crunch.

How to serve it.

Warm crock pot peach cobbler is delicious on its own, but a few simple finishing touches make it even better.
- Serve warm with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.
- Add a dollop of whipped cream for an extra creamy finish.
- Sprinkle with a little cinnamon just before serving.
- Garnish with fresh peach slices or a few mint leaves during peach season.
- Pair it with grilled burgers or barbecue for an easy summer dessert everyone will love.
- Enjoy leftovers with a cup of coffee for an afternoon treat.
Kori's tips.
- Keeping the lid closed for at least the first 2 hours helps the cake cook evenly.
- Placing a clean towel under the lid catches condensation so the topping stays light instead of soggy.
- Insert a toothpick into the cake, not the peaches, and it should come out clean when it's done.
- If you prefer, drizzle melted butter evenly over the cake mix instead of using butter slices.
- This dessert is especially delicious with ice cream while it's still warm from the slow cooker.

- 3 (15-ounce) cans sliced peaches in 100% juice (drain the liquid from one of the cans)
- 1 (15.2-ounce) box spiced cake mix

Instructions
- Drain the liquid from 1 can of peaches. In a 6-quart crock pot, layer the canned peaches on the bottom of the pot.

- Sprinkle the dry spice cake mix evenly over the top of the peaches.

- Place the pats of butter on top. (Alternatively, you can melt the butter and drizzle over the top.)

- Place a clean towel over the crockpot then place the lid on top of the towel (this prevents moistures drips on the cake). Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours or until done. (Cake is done when a knife inserted in the center top of the cake comes out clean.)
