It's easy easy easy! You will love how easy this italian sausage and peppers recipe is! Dump all the ingredients in and forget about it!

Fabulous Italian flavors! The combination of the sausage, vegetables, and pasta sauce are lovely. My family's favorite way to eat this is on toasted (with butter and garlic powder) hoagie buns and melted mozzarella. It's a drool-worthy, super simple dinner idea.

Crock Pot Italian Sausage and Peppers Recipe Ingredients

Here are the ingredients you will need to make this slow cooker sausage and peppers:

    • Italian Sausages: use mild, sweet, or hot sausages.
    • Bell Peppers: I like to use a variety of colors, but you can use any color. Yellow, red, and orange are sweeter and add a nice flavor.
    • Onions: I used a red onion, but yello would also work.
    • Marinara Sauce: use any favorite brand. Make sure to have enough to serve on this side.
    • Italian Seasoning
    • Fresh Garlic
    • Salt and Pepper
    • Optional for serving: extra marinara, fresh basil, and parmesan or mozzarella.

    FAQs

Can you put sausage in a slow cooker raw?

Yes! You can put raw sausages in a slow cooker. In fact, slow cooking them results in very tender, perfectly moist sausages. Add in half a cup of broth or a favorite sauce to give them a little moisture while cooking.
