With only 5 simple ingredients and a few short minutes - you'll have this delicious apple crisp recipe ready for slow cooking. An easy crock pot dessert you'll make time and time again!
up to a 6-quart crockpot may be used (use a larger crockpot so the bottom is wider. I used a 3.5-quart rectangle but it isn't necessary.)
Ingredients
1boxyellow cake mix
1teaspooncinnamon
1stickbutter(cut into cubes, and softened)
2(21-ounce cans)apple pie filling
⅓cupwalnuts or pecans(chopped)
Instructions
Coat a 3 to 4-quart crockpot with nonstick spray. In a small bowl mix together the dry cake mix, cinnamon, and softened butter until blended but still a little crumbly.
Spread the apple pie filling on the bottom of the crock pot.
Top with dry cake mixture, spreading evenly across the top.
Sprinkle with nuts. Cover and cook on low 2½ to 3 hours.
