8ouncescream cheese(warmed in the microwave to soften)
1cupgrated Parmesan cheese
16ouncespenne or rotini pasta(cooked and drained according to package instructions)
1cupheavy cream or half-and-half
Optional thickener:2 tablespoons of cornstarch whisked with 2 tablespoons of cold water
Optional for serving:chopped parsley and extra parmesan for serving
Instructions
Place chicken in the slow cooker with broth, minced garlic, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Cover and cook on low 4 to 5 hours or high 2½ to 3 hours, until chicken is tender and shreddable. Remove from the pot and shred.
In a separate bowl whisk together warmed cream cheese and 2 ladles of hot pot juices until smooth.
Add the chicken back to the crockpot, cooked pasta, cream cheese mixture, cream or half and half, and parmesan. Cover and continue cooking until warmed through, about 10 to 20 more minutes. Season to taste.

If the sauce is thick, loosen with warm pasta water or a splash of broth before serving.
