A delicious and easy crockpot green bean casserole - with 7 ingredients and no oven required. Using a slow cooker is a no hassle way to make this classic vegetable side dish all year long!
1(6-ounce)package french fried onions, divided(save ½ for the top)
Instructions
In a large bowl, stir together soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, garlic powder, frozen green beans, and 1½ cups of the french fried onions.
Transfer to a greased crockpot. Cover and cook on low for 3 to 4 hours or until the green beans are tender and the casserole is bubbly.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper, and top with remaining french fried onions.

VARIATIONS:
I prefer frozen green beans in this recipe for convenience and the freshness they provide. Fresh trimmed green beans may be used but require a longer cooking time. Canned (drained) green beans may be used, and cooking time may be reduced.
To add a little brightness stir in sour cream or squeeze in a little lemon juice.
Broth can be used instead of milk.
Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed.
TIPS: This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled; If the sauce is too thick, stir in more milk or broth (before topping with the french-fried onions); Meal prep right in the crockpot the night before and store it in the fridge until you're ready to start cooking.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Let sit for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh minced parsley or chives.
