corn on the cob
(de-husk, remove silk, clean, trim to fit crockpot)

cup
hot water
(chicken or vegetable broth may also be used)
▢

sprigs of fresh herbs like rosemary, basil, thyme
(this can be omitted)
Instructions
Place sprigs of herbs on the bottom of the crockpot (if using). Lay corn standing up if possible, halve if needed. Pour hot water over.
Cover and cook on low for 2 to 4 hours until desired tenderness is reached. Drain water and discard herbs. Serve corn with butter, salt, and pepper.

VARIATIONS:
Use any combination of fresh herbs, or omit them completely. Broth can be used in place of water.
